WISD unveils new-look website, mobile ticket counter for ease of Indians’ fans
The WISD athletics department, as an online improvement initiative, released details about both it’s new-look website and the ability for fans to purchase tickets through the TicketRoar website mobile application.
WAXAHACHIE (August 23, 2016) — The Waxahachie Independent School District (WISD) made it easier for Indians’ football fans to buy tickets to football games Monday, releasing information about the TicketRoar purchase site via Twitter.
The mobile ticket site comes as part of a technological initiative — paired with a revamped website — to streamline information to fans of WISD sports and their opponents.
“Sites like Ticketmaster and Stubhub already are offered to professional and collegiate fans and we want to do the same for the Indians faithful and the fans and parents of the teams they play,” WISD Athletic Director Greg Reed said. “We’re really just catching up with the times.”
According to information provided by the tweeted link that leads users to the WHS sports website, there are multiple benefits to online purchasing instead of visiting the counter. Some benefits include avoiding long ticket purchase lines at game time, eliminating the need to bring cash for tickets to the game and quickly and easily accessing tickets one of two ways: through a mobile application or printing tickets at home.
